"Your Place" Special Commission Show - Photo submissions and painting purchase deadline extended

Bahamas"Your Place" is a special commission show that is literally about the places that inspire you. You know where they are ... the places that you love to go ... the moments captured in time where you are inspired by beauty. This is a rare opportunity to own an original oil painting by Alex Radin that will be a part of a show as well as a coffee table book.

How it works

1) You send in a photo of a place that inspires you that you have taken (you must own the copyright to the image you send in).

2) You send in the details of the location and why the image is meaningful to you. Minimum requirements for details that will be displayed during the show are the first name of the person submitting the photo and the general location of the image (for example city and state) or you can provide detailed information such as exact location with a short paragraph as to why this place is meaningful to you as well as permission to include your full name.

3) You process a payment online or send in a check or money order for $250. Alex will create a painting based on your photo which will be shipped to you following the show. All paintings will be painted in oils on birch wood panel and will be displayed as gallery wrapped boxes (which means the paintings will arrive to you ready to hang and will not need to be framed).

The price for shipping will be $40 or less if you are located within the United States and will be billed separately prior to shipping.

Passing Notion?

Come join us at Karson Photogtaphy Studio & Gallery and Aunt Bea's Restaurant at 1050-B East Montague Ave. in North Charleston, SC.

I will be unveiling a new series called "Passing Notion?". These paintings explore the unusual and extraordinary messages that present themselves in the moments that may catch our attention as we walk through our every day lives. Could there be more than meets the eye to the things we see and the experiences we encounter?

The North Charleston Arts Festival Art Walk is a free event and open to the public, located at various participating locations on East Montague Ave. in the Olde North Charleston Business District. Take a stroll through businesses, pubs, cafes, studios, and salons to see works by local artists. The Josh Padgett Quartet (jazz) and musician Pete Ledbetter (acoustic Piedmont blues, folk, and swing) will provide outdoor entertainment throughout the evening.
