Alex, I'm so proud of you for pursuing the gift of prophetic painting that God has given you! The Dallas TV clip of you was great! I hope others are inspired by you and you and the church's message. About the "alarm clock" painting... I had a dream a few years ago that relates to this painting. In October 2004 I was reading a Holy City Chronicle article about Jerimiah 33:3 before bed. I said to God "I'm really asking you for that... please show me great and mighty things which I do not know." I had my first (and only) and most amazing dream about Jesus. It would take up too much space here to explain, but I will tell you about it if you would like. The main thoughts were: it was an excavation (dark w/light shining on Him as he lay - more of a statue than person), there was water, metal, clay. He was suffering. I said "I love you. I'm sorry for your pain." I heard "Behold, I make all things new." I knew everything about Him was true, and it was the most amazing feeling. I awoke to my dog barking (which I don't think had ever happened during the night.) I can explain more about this at another time. I looked at the clock, and it was just after 3:33 am. I think I was having the dream at 3:33 am. I like the way God works like that!
May God's blessings continue for you and your family,
Laura |

Thank You for your art. You are on the cutting edge. Doug Addison is not doing art, but he is on the cutting edge and encourages us to get out there and do these things that speak volumes and touches where tradition cannot. Pray for me to paint inspirationally, thats what I want to do. I really appreciate you. Blessings to you and your beautiful wife. Norita (Dallas, Tx) |

When I decided to look through your art work I was unprepared for the journey I was about to take. While clicking through the "Approaching Release" series I felt evil close by and felt ill. I clicked on the painting called "Rest" and started to cry. It whirled me back to a place that looked much like the painting where my daughter had been raped, beaten and stabbed. She survived physically and feared the man would roll her into the river with her hands tied and unable to attempt to save herself from drowning. God was with her the whole time to save her from any permanent physical harm as she had 3 potentially fatal stab wounds and had also been stabbed in each eye. She has her sight and no problems with physical vision. "Restoring the house" had been my goal but I have let go of that, only God can do it. I wish so much I could be the painting "Breaking through" but I still struggle with the whys? I keep in mind "I am coming" and hold on to the truths I know and hope and pray one day I will understand. In the painting "Bahamas" is my secret place of peace and want so much to be there right now. Since I am not, I also visualize "Insight" and struggle on. I know in my heart God is with me, I just have to let Him in all the way. Thank you for guiding me to realizations I was turning my head from. You can not turn your head away from paintings. God bless you and your family for the gloriuos work you do for the Father.

Wow! This is what I exclaimed out loud when viewing "Waiting". Several years ago I had a word spoken over me at a church service that after a certain spiritual journey I would be like a "bird set free out of a cage". I, like the woman in the picture, have long blonde curly hair. I have a 25 year old developmentally disabled son who has been given a love for lighthouses by the Lord. It looks like a lighthouse in the background. I am still "waiting" for the fullness of this word, but God has been using me to work with women in my small city that are overcome with addictions or have suffered abuse. Indeed they too need to be set free! I know that I was meant to view this painting on this day - God orders my steps. I believe also that God is showing me that someday I may do some prophetic portraits as I used to dabble in chalk portraits. I have not had much formal training, but feel that God gives us gifts for a reason. I also love your picture "Paga", which I believe means intercession? I am an intercessor, and those arrows, the Word of God, can break through the windows of many souls. God Bless you as you continue to be used mightily for His glory! Wendy Candeloro |

Alex,
This was a great voyage. I truly enjoyed myself travelling through your gallery. I wish I had a few $ to spend. You remind me of Salvador D. - redeemed :)
I loved the large angel in one of the pieces. I loved "Unquenchable", "Washed Up", "Breaking Through".
Keep going! Expose yourself to more because I think you have new ways to develope. I really am tired of much of the attempts at painting in subliminally as many realists are doing these days, also the mural effects some do. But I felt the supernatural presence of the angel in one of your works and the strength of the "paga" and other messages in other works. I am not an artist myself, at present, (but I feel inspired).
It would be cold enough for your dog here. The snow banks are real deep right now & my bassett hound has to leapfrog over them.
Keep speaking,
Anne |
